We are seeking an experienced Shift Supervisor with a strong understanding of the extrusion process, as well as the ability to manage various equipment and systems within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in die and air ring adjustments, bag machine operations, and printing press processes. This role requires someone who is capable of performing minor machine repairs, maintaining proper documentation, and adhering to safety and company policies. Responsibilities

• Understand the extrusion process and how to optimize it.
• Perform die and air ring adjustments to ensure proper extrusion output.
• Operate and adjust bag machines efficiently to meet production requirements.
• Manage printing press operations, including plate mounting and ink viscosity adjustments.
• Understand and maintain resin and hopper systems for optimal performance.
• Perform minor machine repairs and follow proper maintenance reporting procedures.
• Follow shutdown procedures and ensure all equipment is properly shut down when necessary.
• Follow emergency and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
• Complete all required company forms, such as absent reports, accident reports, and warnings.
• Teach and collaborate with others to maintain a high standard of performance.
• Understand and adhere to Union and company policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in extrusion processes and equipment operations.
• Ability to make adjustments to die and air ring systems to optimize production.
• Experience with bag machine operation and printing press adjustments.
• Knowledge of resin and hopper systems, as well as minor machine repairs.
• Familiarity with shutdown and emergency procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong ability to complete and maintain necessary documentation and reporting forms.
• Ability to work collaboratively and train others in best practices.
• Understanding of Union and company policies, with a commitment to compliance.
