We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join a dynamic molding manufacturer in the Framingham, MA region. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in mold manufacturing and/or injection molding. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of managing the entire project lifecycle, from process development to production coordination. The role offers the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional teams and play a key part in ensuring the success of various projects.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and monitor all aspects of project progress, including process development, production, troubleshooting, and inventory management. Ensure that projects stay on schedule and meet all deadlines and budgetary constraints.
• Develop and refine processes related to mold manufacturing and injection molding to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain accurate documentation of product and manufacturing processes, including timelines and any process changes. Ensure adherence to quality management programs and provide timely project updates to relevant stakeholders.
• Work closely with production teams, office staff, sales teams, and external vendors to ensure projects are completed successfully and meet customer requirements. Provide technical support and guidance as needed to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify potential process issues or bottlenecks, and collaborate with the production team to implement corrective actions and prevent delays. Utilize engineering principles and problem-solving techniques to address production challenges.
• Utilize ERP systems, MS Project, SolidWorks, and Minitab software (or similar tools) to track project progress, manage resources, and analyze data for continuous improvement.
• Ensure all processes adhere to the company’s quality management standards and regulatory requirements. Work to maintain high standards of quality in both the product and manufacturing processes.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in mold manufacturing and/or injection molding. Experience in a project engineering or manufacturing engineering role is required.
• Experience with ERP systems, MS Project, SolidWorks, and/or Minitab is a plus. Strong proficiency in using engineering and project management software to monitor progress, track timelines, and improve processes.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and work within budget constraints. Ability to monitor project development and adapt to changing project requirements.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams (production, sales, vendors) and external partners.
• Strong attention to detail in managing processes, documenting procedures, and ensuring high levels of quality throughout the project lifecycle.
