We are seeking a Production Manager with 10+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in plastic extrusion and injection molding. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, experience in overseeing entire manufacturing plants, and a deep understanding of various production processes. This role will involve managing a diverse team, optimizing production flows, ensuring safety standards, and driving cost-effective improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the entire manufacturing plant, including Extrusion, Injection Molding, Waterjet Cutting, Finishing, and other newly added processes.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
• Ensure compliance with all legal requirements, company safety procedures, and local and state health and safety regulations.
• Manage the scheduling and workflow for a fully operational production team.
• Supervise mechanics, electro-mechanics, and production supervisors for all types of manufacturing machinery (Extrusion, Injection Molding, Waterjet Cutting, Finishing, etc.).
• Hire, train, and mentor new production employees to ensure a highly skilled team.
• Analyze production metrics and data to identify areas for improvement in manufacturing, material flows, and waste reduction.
• Optimize resources and develop best practices to ensure smooth production flow that meets and exceeds business demands.
• Recommend new equipment and processes to achieve increased cost-effective efficiencies.
• Identify and implement innovative and modern technologies to support business growth and new production initiatives.
• Participate in the budget process and project management to maintain cost controls and operational efficiency.
• Oversee manufacturing operation start-ups and ensure smooth integration of new processes.
• Ensure adherence to Quality Standards and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

• MUST have 10+ years of experience as a Production Manager, or equivalent, in a manufacturing environment with a focus on plastic extrusion and injection molding.
• Proven experience managing diverse manufacturing processes (Extrusion, Injection Molding, Waterjet Cutting, and Finishing).
• Strong knowledge of legal, safety, and health regulations in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with budget processes, project management, and team scheduling.
• MUST have Manufacturing operation start-up experience.
• Experience with quality standards and continuous improvement.
• University or College degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (preferred).
