Overview

We are seeking a skilled Process Technician – Injection Molding to support a high-precision medical manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for setting up, optimizing, and troubleshooting injection molding processes to ensure consistent production of high-quality plastic and silicone components used in medical devices.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Injection molding, process control, and troubleshooting, and thrive in a regulated, quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform machine setup, startup, and changeovers for injection molding equipment

• Optimize molding processes to improve cycle time, quality, and efficiency

• Troubleshoot process issues and defects (e.g., short shots, flash, sink, warpage)

• Monitor and adjust process parameters (temperature, pressure, injection speed, cooling)

• Support validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) and process documentation

• Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions

• Perform basic preventive maintenance on machines and molds

• Ensure compliance with quality standards, SOPs, and safety regulations

• Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve processes

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in injection molding / plastics processing

• Strong knowledge of machine setup, mold changes, and process troubleshooting

• Experience with scientific molding or decoupled molding (preferred)

• Familiarity with thermoplastics and/or silicone / LSR molding

• Ability to identify and resolve molding defects

• Basic understanding of preventive maintenance and tooling

• Experience working in regulated environments (medical, FDA, ISO) preferred

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
