Purchasing Manager - JPC30
Pay: $40,000 - 60,000/year + Benefits
Industry: Plastic
Schedule: Monday - Friday
We are seeking a Purchasing Manager with 5+ years of experience in purchasing materials to support injection and blow molding operations. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing day-to-day and capital project purchases, overseeing contracts, and ensuring product quality. A background in supply chain processes and experience with purchasing software (e.g., SAP, ERP) is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all day-to-day and capital project purchases to support injection and blow molding operations.
- Evaluate materials for availability, pricing, terms, and review product quality to ensure the best purchasing decisions.
- Coordinate the bid process, ensuring compliance with procurement conflict of interest policies and regulations.
- Lead and direct the purchasing staff, including hiring, training, supervising, and coaching.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and continuously improve purchasing methods and processes to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- MUST have 5+ years of experience in purchasing materials for injection and blow molding operations.
- Experience in managing contracts and evaluating product quality, pricing, and availability.
- Prior knowledge of supply chain processes is a plus.
- Experience with purchasing software (e.g., SAP, ERP) is required.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing a team of purchasing staff.
