We are seeking an experienced Mold Department Supervisor (Plastic/Manufacturing) to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a deep understanding of plastic injection molding processes and operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the Mold Department, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently, and leading a team to achieve high-quality production standards. You should possess excellent problem-solving skills, the ability to manage multiple shifts, and a commitment to continuous improvement in both people and processes. This is a hands-on management role, requiring a strong technical background in molding processes and the ability to drive performance while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities
• Manage the production scheduling for all three shifts to ensure production schedule is maintained in an efficient and timely manner.
• Oversee and evaluate the performance of all Mold Department personnel, including compliance with company policies.
• Ensure that all scheduled set-ups are complete with program, material, gauging, and tooling prior to distribution for set-up.
• Make recommendations for optimal machining and production rates.
• Ensure that all personnel in the molding area are following procedures of safety and all mold equipment is operating in a safe manner.
• Oversee all in-process quality, making sure technicians and operators are properly trained and following procedures to ensure quality is maintained throughout production.
• Take the lead in evaluating and accepting new molds and coordinate the final process documentation.
• Organize and lead continuous improvement projects. These projects may include cost savings ideas, cycle time reduction, tool testing, and various R&D projects.
• Work with management to improve technician and operator skills through internal and/or external resources.

Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role, preferably within plastic injection molding or manufacturing.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively across multiple shifts.
• Strong knowledge of molding operations, quality control standards, and equipment maintenance.
• Experience in scheduling, process optimization, and continuous improvement.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve molding issues.
• Familiarity with ISO and safety standards.
