Engineering Manager - JPC172

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Manager to manage manufacturing engineering operations in the plastic injection molding industry. The ideal candidate will have an extensive background in managing manufacturing departments and engineering teams, with a strong understanding of manufacturing methods, tool design, process control, and plant layout. This role demands a leader who can drive operational efficiency while ensuring quality and cost-effective production.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the manufacturing engineering department to ensure optimal production processes.
• Review and evaluate product cost quotations to ensure alignment with budgetary goals and manufacturing capabilities.
• Oversee and manage supply chain and logistics to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Implement and maintain manufacturing methods, tool design, process control, and plant layout to optimize production efficiency.
• Evaluate scrap rates and implement corrective actions to minimize waste and improve production quality.
• Manage manufacturing variances and oversee rework processes to ensure minimal impact on production timelines.
• Ensure adherence to ISO and OSHAS certification requirements, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or related technical degree.
• Must have 10+ years of experience in the plastic injection molding industry.
• Must have 10+ years of technical manufacturing experience.
• Extensive experience managing a manufacturing engineering department.
• Expertise in reviewing product cost quotations and managing supply chain logistics.
• Strong experience with manufacturing methods, tool design, process control, and plant layout.
• Experience with scrap evaluations and managing manufacturing variances and reworks.
• Proven ability to adhere to ISO and OSHAS certification requirements.
