We are seeking an Electro Mechanic to assist with mechanical and electrical issues within the assembly facility. The ideal candidate will be skilled in both electrical and mechanical maintenance and will work closely with the Facilities Manager and Assembly Mechanics to ensure the facility operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical and electrical issues in the assembly facility when requested by the Assembly Mechanic or the Facilities Manager.
• Perform ongoing maintenance of molding machines and all auxiliary molding equipment such as grinders, water temperature control units, robots, conveyors, separators, and variance systems.
• Repair and maintain basic systems required for plant functioning, including but not limited to the water cooling system, electrical systems, and ventilation systems.
• Work with shift Foreman and Plant Manager to analyze and diagnose molding issues to determine if the underlying issue is related to processing, machine, or tooling.
• Maintain proper logs and documentation of all issues, repairs, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure common spare parts are kept on-site to guarantee the continual functioning of the facility.
• Work with the Facilities Manager to order necessary parts for the facility.
• Collaborate with the Facilities Manager on improvements, upgrades, and other suggestions to keep the plant functioning at maximum capacity.
• Lock out/tag out all non-functioning equipment (primary, auxiliary, or otherwise) to ensure the safety of all personnel on staff and to comply with OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical skills with the ability to work with 480V installations and equipment.
• Experience with preventive maintenance and organizing maintenance schedules.
• Knowledge of PLC systems is a plus.
• Experience with plastic processing and familiarity with molding equipment.
• General housekeeping skills to ensure OSHA compliance and meet workman’s compensation insurance requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or with a team to resolve issues.
• Ability to maintain equipment logs and ensure all necessary parts are available for the continued operation of the facility.
