Sr. Process Technician - PS3112512
Pay: $65,000 - 85,000/yr + benefits & paid holidays
Industry: Plastic injection molding
Location: Near Sterling Heights, MI
Schedule: Full-time / 2nd shift
There is a local plastic injection molding company in need of leaders for their Senior Process Tech position. This company is based near the Sterling Heights, MI and interested in speaking with any experienced candidates capable of supervising a team and ensuring the completion of their plastic fabrication projects. The Sr. Process Tech will report to the Director of Operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain injection molding/automation equipment to achieve production goals.
- Perform start-up/shut-down procedures, changeover, as well as troubleshooting for injection molding operations
- Lead review and author SOP’s and other documents, as required
- Assist during equipment maintenance, including mold, robot end of arm, IMM restoration, and predictive / preventative maintenance
- Lead the growth & development of the production team by training fellow technicians in areas of expertise as well as learning new systems
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years’ plastic injection molding manufacturing experience is REQUIRED
- Some proficiency using computers to complete data entry and documentation
- Critical problem-solving skills, an organized mindset, being detail oriented, and a sense of urgency.
- Master Molder Certification is not required but preferred
- Ability to work well with others, communicate effectively, and self-motivated.
