We have a company based near Akron, OH region looking for skilled mold setters. The Mold Setter will be responsible for the setup and adjustment of molds in injection molding machines to ensure efficient and accurate production runs. The ideal candidate will have experience in mold setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance within a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Set up molds in injection molding machines according to production requirements.
• Adjust machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and cycle time to achieve optimal production quality and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mold setup, machine operation, and product quality.
• Perform regular maintenance on molds, machines, and auxiliary equipment to ensure proper functioning and longevity.
• Collaborate with production team members to meet production targets and deadlines.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Document setup procedures, adjustments, and maintenance activities accurately.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in plastics processing is a plus.  
• Technical certification or training in injection molding or related field. 
• Experience with robotics and automation systems in injection molding operations is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Mold Setter in plastic injection molding manufacturing environment. 
• Authorized to work in the United States and valid driver's license. 
• Ability to lift 50 lbs, stand for long durations of time, and perform other physical tasks as required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and ability to interpret technical drawings.
