We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager with a strong background in plastic extrusion, food-grade packaging, and a solid understanding of GMP and BRC quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach in managing processes, ensuring quality standards, and driving continuous improvements across production. This role requires the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, manage testing processes, and maintain a high level of quality throughout the manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with GMP and BRC quality standards in plastic packaging operations.
• Oversee the production of food-grade packaging, ensuring all quality and safety standards are met.
• Manage plastic extrusion processes and packaging, ensuring optimal performance and quality output.
• Work closely with suppliers to ensure timely and quality delivery of materials.
• Schedule and execute testing for incoming materials, finished goods, and customer-specific requirements.
• Troubleshoot equipment and implement immediate corrective actions as necessary to minimize downtime and production issues.
• Maintain accurate records of testing results and analysis, ensuring thorough documentation.
• Recommend process improvements and changes across the site to enhance operational efficiency.
• Define, develop, train, implement, and monitor process control points to drive defect elimination and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years of experience in plastic extrusion and plastic packaging.
• Experience with food-grade packaging is essential.
• In-depth knowledge and experience with GMP and BRC quality standards.
• Proven track record of working with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery of materials.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to take immediate action to resolve equipment issues.
• Experience in maintaining accurate records of testing results and analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to recommending and implementing improvements.
• Ability to define and develop process control points and lead training efforts to ensure consistent product quality.
