Job Description
Injection Mold Maker - PSC92125
Pay: $26 - 50/hr + Benefits
Industry: Plastic Injection Molding
Schedule: Monday - Friday / Full-Time
We are seeking a highly skilled Mold Maker to join a stable and well-established leader in the plastic injection molding industry. In this role, you will be responsible for building, repairing, and maintaining precision molds that support our injection molding operations. The ideal candidate will have solid machining experience, exceptional attention to detail, and a deep understanding of mold design and functionality.
Responsibilities:
- Fabricate new molds using CNC machines, lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM equipment
- Perform mold repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance
- Read and interpret mold drawings, blueprints, and CAD files
- Inspect tooling components for wear, damage, or dimensional accuracy
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize mold performance
- Maintain accurate records of mold history, repairs, and tooling changes
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all tooling activities
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or technical certification required; associate degree in Tool & Die or related field preferred
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in mold making or precision machining
- Proficient in operating manual and CNC machining equipment
- Strong understanding of mold construction, materials, and tolerances
- Ability to troubleshoot mold issues and recommend corrective actions
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and mold design principles
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and mechanical aptitude
