Continuous Improvement Manager - PS312258
Pay: $65,000 - 110,000 base + Benefits
Industry: Flexible Packaging
Location: based near Middletown, OH region.
Schedule: Full-time / M-F
We have an established company near the Middletown, OH region seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Manager to lead initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and overall performance in our flexible packaging and flexographic printing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement best practices, and drive a culture of excellence within our production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current production processes in flexible packaging and flexographic printing to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to optimize workflows and increase productivity.
- Lead efforts to enhance product quality and consistency. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and quality metrics. Address quality issues by implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Manage and oversee continuous improvement projects from inception to completion. Coordinate with engineering, production, and quality teams to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Design and deliver training programs for staff on continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Six Sigma, and other relevant techniques. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Utilize data analytics to drive decision-making. Collect and analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to flexible packaging and flexographic printing. Propose and pilot innovative solutions to advance operational capabilities.
- Work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure alignment on improvement initiatives. Facilitate cross-functional meetings and workshops to drive collaborative problem-solving.
- Prepare and present reports on improvement initiatives, progress, and results to senior management. Ensure transparency and accountability in all continuous improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, or a related field. Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Lean Six Sigma Black Belt) is a plus.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a continuous improvement role, preferably in flexible packaging and flexographic printing environments. Demonstrated experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation. Excellent project management and organizational abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth understanding of flexible packaging and flexographic printing processes. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations. Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies and practices.
- Innovative thinker with a passion for continuous improvement. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
