We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Service Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an electrical or mechanical engineering background and experience in servicing and optimizing ultrasonic welding equipment. This position will involve extensive travel, customer support, and collaboration with the sales team to provide timely and effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Set up, install, and optimize computer-controlled ultrasonic welding equipment at headquarters or customer sites.
• Provide support for product services, including up to 60% overnight travel in North America for customer visits.
• Perform and document ultrasonic test welds in a modern laboratory environment.
• Provide process-related support to customers via email, fax, telephone, or in-person.
• Collaborate closely with sales staff to ensure customers receive adequate and timely support.
• Assist with technical training and conduct customer seminars.

Qualifications:

• An Associate's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field is required; a BS in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills required; knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic PLC knowledge is a plus.
• Experience servicing and troubleshooting manufacturing equipment preferred, but candidates with significant mechanical and electrical knowledge will be considered.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to deliver technical presentations and conduct technical training sessions and seminars.
• Additional language skills (e.g., German, Spanish) are a plus.
