Injection Molding Process technician - PSC7125

Compensation: $20 - $35/hour + benefits

Industry: Plastic Injection Molding

Schedule: Full-Time | 1st shift ( 6:30AM - 5pm) I Monday - Friday

Overview

A leading plastics manufacturer seeks an experienced Process Technician for injection molding operations. The ideal candidate will optimize processes, troubleshoot complex issues, and maintain world-class production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment at their facility in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all injection molding processes, including setup, teardown, troubleshooting, maintenance, and workflow management.

• Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure components meet specifications, making adjustments as needed.

• Deliver molded components on time to meet production schedules.

• Partner with engineering to develop tooling for high-quality product manufacturing.

• Manage raw materials to maintain traceability and prevent contamination.

• Document molding runs to ensure traceability and process reproducibility.

• Support engineering, quality, and new tooling teams during prototyping and product release.

• Maintain a clean, organized workspace by following established procedures.

• Adhere to all safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Required:

  • 3+ years injection molding experience or equivalent scientific injection molding expertise 

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent 

  • Expetional verbal and writtien communication skills 

• Preferred:

  • Associate degree in Plastics/Engineering Technology

  • Proficiency in robot programming and automation troubleshooting

  • RJG Master Molder I certification

  • Experience with ERP/MES systems and Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements

• Stand/walk 6+ hours per shift

• Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally

• Work near moving heavy machinery 

• Wear full PPE (safety glasses, steel-toes, hearing protection)
