Engineering Manager - PS3112519
Pay: $50,000 – 90,000/year + Benefits
Industry: Plastic extrusion
Location: Near Akron, OH
Schedule: Fulltime / First shift
We are now searching for an experienced Engineer Manager to assist a stable plastic manufacturing company in Ohio. The ideal candidate would be a hands-on leader, determined to improve manufacturing operations and ensure the completion of projects on time. The Engineering Manager will report to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibilities:
- Streamlining processes from initial design to product launch and continuous enhancement.
- Enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) such as standard work, workplace organization, quality standards, and packaging specifications.
- Demonstrate strengths utilizing materials such as PVC, ABS, ASA, HDPE, LDPE, PP, PC, and more.
- Assist in resolving issues with existing tooling and secondary downstream equipment. Prior electrical and/or mechanical troubleshooting experience is a PLUS.
- Modify or adapt both existing and new tooling using die grinders, milling machines, and lathes.
Qualifications:
- At least 2 years of hands-on process engineering relating to plastic extrusion manufacturing.
- 3 years of experience testing polymer materials to ensure they meet specifications.
- Prior experience utilizing improvement techniques such as lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kanban, Kaizen, etc...
- Preferred proficiency in CAD or similar design software is a PLUS!
