We are seeking a skilled individual to manage tooling setup, maintenance, and machine operations in a plastic molding environment. The ideal candidate will ensure that workstations are properly set up, safe, and organized while maintaining high-quality production standards. Responsibilities

• Set up tooling in machines and ensure workstations have proper ergonomics, safety, tidiness, and organization.
• Enter molding parameters into press properly and adjust for correct barrel temperature settings.
• Check for proper material and dryer temperature settings and times. Ensure that dryers and all loading equipment are contamination-free.
• Provide any necessary auxiliary equipment (drill presses, cooling fixtures, milling fixtures, arbor presses, etc.).
• Attach end-of-arm tooling and make adjustments to the robot to ensure proper part removal from the press. Load robot programs.
• Remove tools when the job is completed and follow tool removal procedures. Return tools to the proper location.
• Perform minor machine maintenance, such as screw tear-downs and cleaning, cleaning of the barrel, etc.
• Perform preventative maintenance on molds.
• Properly complete tool write-ups for mold repairs.
• Monitor press, part quality, and quantity. Troubleshoot and make necessary adjustments while preparing proper documentation.
• Investigate causes and effects of issues, document root causes, and develop corrective actions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in plastic injection molding or similar manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of machine setup and maintenance, including tooling, temperature adjustments, and part removal.
• Experience with auxiliary equipment (drill presses, cooling fixtures, milling fixtures, etc.) and automation systems (robotics).
• Knowledge of mold preventative maintenance and repair procedures.
• Ability to troubleshoot and adjust press parameters, ensuring high-quality parts are produced.
• Experience with documentation of work performed, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow safety, ergonomic, and organizational guidelines.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience in minor machine repairs and maintenance tasks (e.g., screw tear-downs, barrel cleaning, etc.).
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
