We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Industrial Engineer with a background in custom plastic thermoforming. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing plastic products for industries such as automotive, medical, aerospace, defense, and consumer goods, along with a strong understanding of process improvement. Responsibilities

• As a Manufacturing Industrial Engineer, you will be responsible for improving, optimizing, and sustaining the effectiveness of various processes within the facility to meet customer and quality requirements.
• Work on different projects assigned by the Plant Manager to learn processes, solicit feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement process improvements.
• Lead projects to better utilize and control inventory and determine how to disposition unused tooling.
• Be involved in learning and utilizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Global Shop, and AS9100 processes while contributing to the migration of best practices.
• Assign materials to jobs and record hours worked, good, and bad parts produced during various stages of the manufacturing process.
• Over time, take on leadership responsibilities such as motivating, training, and developing effective teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Plant Manager, as you gain more experience and responsibility.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with custom plastic thermoforming.
• Experience in manufacturing plastic products for industries such as automotive, medical, aerospace, defense, and consumer goods.
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards.
• 5+ years of process improvement experience.
• Ability to lead and manage projects with a focus on process optimization and inventory control.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Global Shop, with an understanding of AS9100 processes.
• Strong ability to train and develop teams, with a focus on continuous improvement.
