Account Manager - JPC177
Pay: $60,000 - 120,000/year + Benefits
Industry: Plastic
Schedule: Monday - Friday
We are seeking an experienced Account Manager in the plastic industry who can effectively manage client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to the growth and success of the company. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in sales, have an understanding of the plastic manufacturing processes, and have the ability to manage key accounts effectively while ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Oversee individual account performance, ensuring customer satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Cultivate new business and additional sales from existing accounts, aiming for continued growth and long-term partnerships.
- Mentor and support Account Managers and Customer Service personnel to achieve optimal performance.
- Manage all aspects of New Product Introduction (NPI) and necessary design or material changes for customers.
- Maintain and update ERP system for min/max levels as required, ensuring proper stock and timely orders.
- Monitor pricing and keep quotations up to date, providing accurate and competitive pricing to clients.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet revenue and profit targets.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including product development, production, and logistics, to ensure seamless delivery of services and products to clients.
- Establish strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within client organizations.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management regarding account performance, sales opportunities, and customer feedback.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in account management within the plastic industry.
- Proven track record of successful sales and account management, with a focus on building long-term customer relationships.
- Strong understanding of plastic manufacturing processes and products.
- Experience using 3D modeling software or the ability to understand technical product specifications.
- Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency with MRP/ERP systems, spreadsheets, and word processing tools.
- In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality standards, raw materials, tooling, and product specifications.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and product specifications to assist customers in finding the best solutions.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Experience with quality management systems and adhering to industry regulations and standards.
