Technical Manufacturing Engineer - PS3112544
Pay: $25 - 40/hr + benefits
Industry: Plastic injection molding
Location: Near Glendale, CA
Schedule: Full-time / First shift
We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Injection Molding Technician to assisting this plastic manufacturing company based near Glendale, CA.The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of injection molding processes, machinery, and materials. The primary responsibility of this role is to hang molds in injection molding machines, start them up, and adjust settings to ensure the production of acceptable plastic parts.
Responsibilities
- Hang molds in injection molding machines, ensure proper setup and seamless first cycle.
- Actively support production processes to ensure the quality of plastic parts meets specifications.
- Startup injection molding machines and make necessary adjustments to achieve optimal production
- conditions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with mold setup, machine operation, or part quality.
- Perform regular maintenance tasks on injection molding machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with production team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation of production activities and process parameters.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in injection molding manufacturing operations.
- Proficiency in mold setup, machine startup, and process optimization and/or development.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of various injection molding materials, their properties, and engineering processes.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project management skills.
- A technical degree or certification in injection molding or related field is a plus!
- Experience creating/ modifying tooling or molds is preferred.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
