We are seeking an experienced Tooling Engineer with 3-5+ years of experience in injection mold design and processing. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of the injection molding process, automation, and the ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams while managing customer relationships and driving innovation in mold design.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and development of injection molds, with a focus on automotive industry applications.
• Utilize CADkey and other design tools to create cost-effective and innovative mold designs.
• Manage customer relationships proactively, ensuring satisfaction and addressing any concerns.
• Work with external tooling vendors and monitor their performance.
• Apply engineering principles such as design of experiments, troubleshooting, geometric tolerancing, SPC, and robotics.
• Effectively lead cross-functional teams, ensuring collaboration and alignment across departments.
• Troubleshoot and improve molding processes for optimal efficiency.
• Ensure mold designs meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Qualifications:

• MUST have 3-5+ years of experience in injection mold design and processing.
• Thorough understanding of the injection molding process and automation.
• Experience with CADkey or similar design software.
• Strong customer management and proactive communication skills.
• Knowledge of outside tooling vendor performance and relationships.
• Experience with mold design in the automotive industry is preferred.
• Strong engineering capabilities, including design of experiments, troubleshooting, geometric tolerancing, SPC, and robotics.
• Ability to travel 20% of the time throughout the US.
