We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Blow Molding Operations Manager to oversee and optimize our blow molding processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in extrusion and injection blow molding, with a focus on leading and managing a team to improve quality and efficiency in the department.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple shifts and a team of 25+ employees efficiently, ensuring optimal utilization of labor, materials, and assets.
• Implement process improvement techniques to improve overall quality and efficiency within the blow molding department.
• Plan, coordinate, and direct activities within the blow molding area to ensure smooth operations.
• Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of blow molding equipment and molds.
• Develop work schedules and prioritize repair activities based on daily production needs, ensuring all equipment is operable.
• Provide technical expertise to solve blow molding problems, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic issues.
• Adhere to strict quality guidelines, including weights, neck measurements, wall balance, and thickness.
• Promote and maintain high-quality standards for all department functions.
• Ensure thorough knowledge and proper use of resins, colorants, and additives in the blow molding process.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical/Plastics Engineering or a related field preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in Blow Molding/Operations Management or plastic processing.
• Must have significant experience with Blow Molding processes.
• 10+ years of previous management experience in a manufacturing or operations setting.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLC); ability to read and sketch mechanical drawings.
