Job Description
Quality Engineer - JPC199
Pay: $60,000 - 120,000/year + Benefits
Industry: Plastic
Schedule: Monday - Friday
We are seeking a Quality Engineer in the Plastic/Extrusion industry. This role will oversee the development and implementation of quality management systems, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards, particularly ISO 9001-2015.
Responsibilities:
- Create SOPs, work instructions, and other documents as per ISO standards.
- Oversee internal and external auditing processes.
- Ensure the company’s QMS meets customer, internal, and ISO 9001-2015 requirements.
- Evaluate, analyze, and report to management the status of the quality systems and propose corrective actions.
- Direct efforts to ensure that the company’s QMS complies with ISO 9001-2015 standards.
- Eliminate barriers preventing objectives from being achieved and support others in achieving their assigned tasks.
- Oversee employee training to meet required quality standards.
Qualifications:
- ASQ certification (CQA, CQE) is a plus.
- Experience in plastic extrusion is preferred.
- Proven experience in implementing ISO 9001-2015 is a must.
- Lean Six Sigma training is a plus.
- Spanish speaking is an advantage.
