Job Description
Injection Molding Technician - PS3112538
Pay: $19 - 29/hr + benefits & paid holidays
Industry: Plastic injection molding
Location: Near Richfield, OH
Schedule: Full-time / 2nd shift
The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for setting up and monitoring the injection molding of plastic parts to ensure optimal performance and quality of products.
Responsibilities
- Set and start molds and auxiliary equipment for new production runs; following work instructions.
- Coordinate with maintenance and production personnel to resolve machine, equipment, and process malfunctions.
- Respond to quality assurance requests, performing and documenting process adjustments.
- Conduct job changeovers and assist with facility start-up and shutdown.
- Conduct safety checks on machines and mold cleanings, changes, and preventative maintenance as needed.
- Assist in training and certifying production workers, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
- Implement and assist with improvements in injection presses, material handling, and tooling.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Seek continuous improvement in work processes through teamwork and cooperation.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required. A professional engineering degree or vocational training is preferred.
- Must be able to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, perform basic mathematical calculations.
- Must have at least 2 years of injection molding manufacturing experience.
- Ability to stand, walk, use hands & fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb, and lift up to 60 pounds.
