We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Plant Manager to oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, meeting customer expectations, and maintaining optimal performance. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing inventory control, improving productivity, and reducing costs while ensuring high-quality production standards. A proven track record in plant management, leadership, and process improvement is essential to drive operational success.

Responsibilities

• Direct and run optimum day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency and meet customer expectations.
• Manage inventory control to ensure efficient usage in production and shipping, minimizing scrap and unnecessary stock levels.
• Monitor and improve efficient material and labor utilization.
• Increase production capacity and output while reducing unnecessary costs.
• Develop metrics to track and optimize productivity and performance targets.
• Organize and control inventory resulting in accurate and efficient physical inventories.
• Implement procedures to maintain quality and operational efficiency.
• Oversee shipping & receiving departments to ensure effective receipt of goods and accurate & timely shipping.
• Generate information needed to coordinate purchasing of raw material.
• Manage labor based on production and warehouse needs.
• Continuously drive plant safety procedures and policies.
• Implement and maintain quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as a Plant Manager.
• Strong knowledge of industry products, production methods, standard equipment, and technical expertise.
• Ability to create a culture of accountability and lead by example.
• Proficient in training and implementing change using Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Strong team-building, decision-making, and people management skills.
• Sage 100 (MAS 200) experience is a plus.
• General knowledge in building maintenance, carpentry, plumbing, and equipment maintenance, including pneumatic and hydraulics.
• Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes is a plus.
• Proficiency in reading and understanding micrometers, tape measures, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
• Must be strong in Excel.
