Job Description
Extrusion Process Specialist - JPC131
Pay: $60,000 - 120,000/year + Benefits
Industry: Plastic
Schedule: Monday - Friday
We are seeking a skilled and experienced technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in extrusion manufacturing with a focus on troubleshooting, technical support, and process improvements. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations and high-quality production.
Responsibilities
- The technicians will be responsible for the set-up, start-up, and part production.
- Provides hands-on technical support (troubleshooting, repairs, and modifications) for process and equipment issues in a large and complex extrusion manufacturing operation.
- Helps to create and maintain accurate engineering, maintenance, process, and product specification-related documentation.
Qualification
- Candidates must have excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to resolve and troubleshoot technical problems related to extrusions.
- Must be able to make recommendations pertaining to extrusion and co-extrusion tooling/dies.
- Must have solid experience in extruding acrylic and polycarbonate profiles.
- Must have excellent knowledge of production equipment (single screw extruders, pullers, saws, dryers, etc.…).
- Must be able to design and run in new tools.
